Investing in God’s Abundance
“Laying up treasures in heaven” is a profound concept. This encompasses more than material possessions; it involves investing in spiritual disciplines like prayer, worship, praise, and service that yield the fruit of the Spirit. As we explore Matthew 6:19-21, we discover the abundant blessings that flow from our heavenly investments and how God faithfully supplies our earthly needs.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV)
