The Holy Spirit will pray for you when you cannot pray for yourself.
There are times when life makes you speechless:
- Loss
- Challenges
- Overwhelming bills
- Relationships you depend on are in jeopardy
- Sickness in your body or in someone you love and care about
- Uncertainty
- Loved ones on the wrong path
- Hope seems to be walking away from you,
- Pain is a regular or constant companion
- Loneliness has moved into your life and is taking up all the space, leaving its belongings all over the place, and sucking the air out of the room leaving you suffocating…
Sometimes, it IS hard to pray. This reality is another reason to be grateful for GRACE. The Love of God is soooo wonderful that God prays for, in, through us when we cannot pray for ourselves.
So, whether it be a song, rocking your body back and forth, a tear, other tongues, or silence – God hears every prayer.
God will pray for you when you cannot find the words or even form the thought. God will pray for you when you cannot pray for yourself.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. – Romans 8:26-27
I use this song often, even when my words fail.
